Synyster Gates - Biografi

Brian Elwin Haner, Jr. lahir di Huntington Beach, California, Amerika Serikat, 7 Juli 1981; umur 28 tahun) atau lebih dikenal dengan nama Synyster Gates adalah seorang musisi dan gitaris untuk grup musik Avenged Sevenfold.

Brian adalah anak pertama. Dia mempunyai adik bernama Brent, Johnny, dan McKenna. Ayahnya, Brian Elwin Haner Sr. (biasa dipanggil dengan nama Papa Gates), adalah seorang pelawak dan gitaris professional. Ibu kandungnya bernama Jan. Ibu tirinya, Suzy Haner, adalah seorang ahli hipnotis.

Orang tua Brian cerai ketika Brian berumur sepuluh tahun. Dua tahun kemudian, ayahnya menikah lagi dengan Suzy.

Brian mendapatkan gitar pertamanya dari nenek dan kakeknya. Salah satu lagu pertama yang ia pelajari adalah lagu Stairway to Heaven karya Led Zeppelin. Ketika Brian duduk di kelas 6, ia sudah bisa menebak chord dari sebuah lagu hanya dengan menggunakan pendengarannya. Setelah Brian diberi gitar, dia mengatakan bahwa sekolah sudah tidak ada gunanya. Nilai bagus hanya dia peroleh sampai ia duduk di kelas 4.

Brian memasuki grup musik Avenged Sevenfold sebagai gitaris ketika ia berumur 18 tahun di akhir tahun 1999. Dia juga memainkan piano pada lagu "Beast and the Harlot" dan "Sidewinder".

Hey bro n siz!!!jaman sekarang bikin studio rekaman ga harus menggunakan teknologi rekaman yang mahal, kita yang punya perangkat minimalis jg bisa berkarya lho!!!!. Sedikit tips n trik bikin studio rekaman sederhana dengan kualitas rekaman ga kalah dengan studio rekaman yang berteknologi canggih sob!!!.

Gw akan berbagi pengalaman buat lo yang pengen bikin sebuah studio rekaman yang sederhana dengan biaya relatif lebih murah namun menghasilkan kualitas rekaman yang bisa dibilang sama dengan studio rekaman dengan teknologi yang canggih saat ini. Hal ini sudah gw uji coba di studio rumahan di daerah jln magelang, sleman(rumah gw sndiri...hihihihi).
Gw buat dgn perangkat antara lain :
*Komputer dengan spesifikasi :- Core2Duo 2GB- Memory Minimal 128 MB- Harddisk 120 GB 7200 RPM- DVDRW (buat nanti kalo lo mo copy master lagu atau MP3 ke CD or DVD)- Software Digital Multitrack (Cool Edit Pro 2.0, Cakewalk, atau lainnya) Untuk tambah FX loop lo bisa pake Fruty Loops or Virtual DJ(klo lum punya pinjem or donlot ndiri y sob,hihihi ap dateng ke rumah gw pasti gw pinjemin,hahaha)
* 2 buah sound card full duplexSound card ini berfungsi pengganti converter (MOTU,AARK,EW88MT) yang harganya mahal bgt sob(ngirit dikit deh,hihihi). Gw menggunakan 2 sound card dengan maksud nantinya dapat bekerja lebih efisien, coz dengan adanya 2 sound card gw dapat langsung record 2 instrumen dalam waktu bersamaan pada track yang berbeda di software digital multitracks (cool edit pro or cubase)
1 Unit Mixer,Mixer yang gw gunakan adalah mixer digital buatan Behringer dengan seri UB1832FX-PRO(bole minjem kakak gw,lum bsa bli ndiri sob,xixixi), Fasilitas mixer Behringer UB1832FX-PRO adalah Ultra low noise, mic pre-amp, 24-bit digital stereo FX processor with 99 presets including reverb, delay, chorus, compressor, tube distortion, vinylizer and more plus 1 kHz test tone, Breathtaking 3D stereo surround effect for more vitality and enhanced stereo image, Effective, extremely musical 3-band EQ with semi-parametric mid band plus switchable low-cut filter on, 6 new state-of-the-art, studio-grade IMP "Invisible", n many more more,hahaha.....
Tape Berfungsi sebagai monitor sound engineer dan guide player. Gw menggunakan tape HIFI SONY type FH-515R. Memang menurut teori recording (jiah sox ngerti gw nih...) harus pake monitor flat yang harganya 1 pasang sampai 6 juta lebih, tapi lupakan dulu yang ini karena pembahasan disini dibatasi yang sederhana nan murah alias agak ngirit boz,.....hehehehe.
Kabel dan jackPemilihan kabel usahakan yang baik, karena kualitas rekaman sangat ditentukan disini. Lo dapat membeli kabel atau jack di toko-toko musik atau electronik di kota lo. Headphone digunakan untuk player di studio khususnya yang sedang rekaman atau buat sound engineernya. ummmmm pa lg ya.....kayanya nh dulu deh....ok ok semoga berguna!!!!!
Kalo semua yang diatas nggak bisa di penuhi ya mendingan rekaman aja di rumah gw sob(klo dateng bawa makanan y...xixixixi juz kiddong) hehehe....C U
